Hello, 2021!

2020 was a memorable year for ALL, at a worldwide level

If My First Love was to summarise 2020 in a gist, it would go like this:

- Offered ante-natal classes since 2019

- Planned ahead for the great year ahead (2020) this same time last year

- Enthusiastically organised the possible workshops ahead not knowing that it'll be forced to stop

- The workshops which took place in both January and February 2020 were a blast!

- Covid19 entered ALL of our lives

- LOCKDOWN for 2 Months

- Re-opening of Singapore but in Phases

- My First Love had to restructure to get back on track

- Explored digital options like webinars

- Entered Phase 2 and crafted a Crash Course Session to save hassle for NEW Parents

- Welcomed Phase 3

- It's 2021!

Perhaps it's the same for you too, it felt like 2020 stole a significant amount of time from everyone and every business in every industry. This worldwide pandemic is a great reminder to us that change is the only constant and how vital it is to cherish every MOMENT. Too many lives were lost, too many livelihoods were affected and even till now, we are still in the midst of recovering from it. Sad to say, the pandemic hasn't fully gone away and in fact, is currently going through a 2nd wave elsewhere.

On the other hand, the pandemic has taught us that nothing stays the same. Over a short period of time, we saw SMEs and business owners adopt new working styles and allow "work from home" to be a norm. Over the last few years when prompted to embark on digitalisation and normalise "wfh", we were reluctant and dragged our feet around it. But look at how far we've gotten now! We have thus became more efficient and effective with the way we work and I dare vouch that people are generally happier now with this new work life balance arrangement!

"Work to Live, Live to Work" - we are all so caught up in this rat race of life. However, since the pandemic struck, we have all learnt to slow down and be more appreciative of the smaller things in our lives. We've been forced to cut ourselves some slack, embrace technology and spend more time with our family members. If I were to re-evaluate the pandemic, it isn't so bad right?

In one way or another, we are still thankful that 2020 has finally ended and we’ve now entered a new year. As the saying goes: "New Year, New Life". In 2021, My First Love has planned ahead lots of exciting workshops and engagements for our audience in view of benefitting a wider range of participants.

Stay tuned as we firm up and release the details for the first quarter of 2021! In the meantime, stay safe, stay well and we hope to cross paths with more of YOU!
